History and team

Omri Casspi, the first Israeli to play in the NBA, launched Swish Ventures in December 2024 with a $60 million seed fund. Before that he co-founded the Sheva fund, which began in 2022 with David Citron and raised $36 million in its first year. Casspi described Swish as a new, independent fund built on what he refined at Sheva. Sequoia Capital is an anchor investor in the seed fund. Several Sheva-backed founders also invested, including those behind EON, Upwind and PointFive. Casspi is founder and managing partner. Ori Striechman, an alumnus of Unit 8200, is Head of Technology and Investments, and Dana Alexandrovich, formerly COO of Microsoft Israel, is Operating Partner. Sources differ on the founding year: PitchBook says 2024 and some press says 2025. Fund sizes have also grown since the existing profile was written. In September 2026 Swish raised a $250 million third fund, and reported total assets are now about $800 million.

AI investing

Swish focuses on cybersecurity, cloud and AI infrastructure, and AI startups in Israel and North America. The third fund also lists physical AI, AI for industrial applications, defense and government technology. Casspi says Swish looks for teams in large categories, often serial entrepreneurs, and takes a hands-on role on fundraising, recruiting and business development. Reported portfolio companies include Cognition, EON, Upwind, Irregular, Applied Compute and Tenzai. In AI, Swish has joined seed rounds in AIR Security, which builds a firewall for AI agents, and Noetive, an AI lab for the physical economy. Casspi announced the Applied Compute investment on LinkedIn, describing its work on domain-specific AI agents.

Stages and check sizes

Swish invests at seed. The $60 million seed fund planned about 10 startups at roughly $5 to $7 million each. The $100 million Opportunity Fund backs follow-on rounds. It targets about eight investments at an average of $10 million. The $250 million third fund plans about 12 early-stage companies, mainly at seed or Series A, with an average investment of about $20 million. Swish says it backs a small number of founders each year rather than many. It has not published a minimum check or an application process.
