About Kevin Buehler
Kevin Buehler spent more than three decades at McKinsey & Company, where he is listed as a senior partner emeritus. He co-founded the firm's global Risk practice, now called Risk & Resilience. He was also CEO of Risk Dynamics, a McKinsey company acquired in 2016 that focused on model risk management and risk advanced analytics. He led McKinsey's corporate and investment banking work in the Americas and co-led it globally.
Before McKinsey, he was COO of an emerging markets private equity firm, practiced corporate law at a large US law firm, and co-founded and served as CFO of a targeted recruiting services firm. He holds an A.B. in Economics and a J.D. from Harvard.
He has since joined Rogo, an AI platform for financial institutions, as Chief Innovation Officer (his X bio says CIO). He has also been appointed to the board of Numerix, a capital markets analytics company. His X bio lists "Venture Investor" among his roles.
At McKinsey, Buehler co-chaired the firm's launch committee, which provides early stage funding for technology-enabled innovations. He also joined the board of the cybersecurity company Praetorian as an observer after McKinsey invested in it in 2020. Those were firm investments, not personal angel checks. Public information on his personal angel portfolio is limited, and the only personal round we could confirm is Twin1 AI.
In August 2026, Buehler took part as an angel in Twin1 AI's $20M seed round. Bessemer Venture Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners and Aramco Ventures co-led it. Twin1 builds privacy-focused AI digital twins for professional knowledge workers. Other angels in the round included Haakon Overli, Roy Reznick, Hans Tung, Robert Trezona and Dan Wong.
On X he comments on AI in financial services, including agentic workspaces for finance, and on Rogo's growth.
No stated check size, stage preference or fund size is public. His professional background is in financial services, risk, and enterprise technology, and his public AI commentary centers on AI for finance. His only confirmed angel round, Twin1, is a seed-stage enterprise AI company with offices in San Mateo and London. Founders should not treat this as a statement of his investment criteria.
