Peter Sarlin is a Helsinki-based entrepreneur and academic. He co-founded Silo AI and led it as CEO. Silo AI describes itself as a private AI lab, and <cite>AMD acquired it in 2024 for €665 million, which Aalto University calls Europe's largest AI exit</cite>. In March 2025 he was described as co-founder and SVP of AMD Silo AI.
He holds a PhD in economics from Åbo Akademi and is a Professor of Practice in machine learning and AI at Aalto University. Earlier in his career he worked at the ECB and IMF, among other roles.
