Eoghan McCabe co-founded Intercom in 2011 with Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee and David Barrett. Intercom is a customer messaging and AI customer service company, and it rebranded as Fin in May 2026. Wikipedia lists him as Chairperson and CEO.
Karen Peacock became CEO in July 2020, and the board reappointed McCabe as CEO in October 2022. In a 2024 post on X he said Intercom would invest an extra ~$100M to bring a new AI product, Fin X, to market. Before Intercom, a profile on StartupIntros says he founded the design agency Contrast and the developer tool Exceptional, which Rackspace later acquired.
